Exciting line-up of Conference Workshops

NAPD is delighted to announce that along with the very popular schedule of Conference Workshops, Google will facilitate a dedicated workshop session on Computer Science basics for NAPD Members.

Google CS First is a free program that increases student access and exposure to computer science (CS) education through after-school, in-school, and summer programs. All clubs are run by teachers and/or community volunteers.

NAPD Members will be presented with an overview of Google CS First and get first-hand training from Google staff on the basic principles of Coding.

Booking a place on this workshop will be available soon on this website.

Google’s materials:

  • are completely free and available online
  • are targeted at students aged 9-14
  • can be tailored to fit school schedule and needs
  • involve block-based coding using Scratch and are themed to attract students with varied interests
